Escape rooms range from linear puzzle boxes designed for small groups to multi-room narrative experiences with live actors and automated props. Difficulty levels, recommended group sizes, and age restrictions vary significantly between venues, as do private versus public booking policies. A map pin shows location, but it will not tell you if a room requires physical crawling, suits younger children, or locks you in with strangers.

Good to know
Are escape rooms private or will we play with strangers?
Policy depends on the venue and room type. Many locations now default to private bookings for your party, while others require you to buy out remaining tickets to guarantee a private game. Always check the booking page terms before confirming your group's reservation.
How much does an escape room cost per person?
Tickets typically range from $30 to $45 per player for a standard 60-minute game. Premium experiences featuring larger footprints or live actors may run higher, and some venues offer tiered rates or group discounts for larger parties.
Are you actually locked inside the room?
No, safety regulations require that exit doors remain unlocked or accessible via emergency release buttons at all times. You can step out if needed, though game timers generally continue running while you are away from the room.
