First game? Entry usually covers a marker, mask and air — paintballs are sold separately, and most fields forbid outside paint. Budget for a case, not a bag.
Common questions
- How much does a day of paintball cost?
- Entry with rental gear usually runs $25–$50, and paintballs are extra — expect $50–$70 for a case of 2,000, or $15–$25 for a bag of 500. A typical player goes through 300–800 rounds in a day.
- Can I bring my own paintballs?
- Almost never. Fields make most of their margin on paint and require you to buy on site, which also lets them enforce a single quality and fill. Bringing your own gun and mask is normally fine.
- What's the minimum age to play paintball?
- Most fields set 10–12 as the minimum with a parent's waiver, and some run low-impact games for younger kids. Everyone under 18 needs a signed waiver from a parent or guardian.
